Job summary

Barrick Mining Corporation is seeking an Exploration Geologist to join our team in Elko, Nevada. The role focuses on geological research, data compilation, and interpretation to support mining operations.

You will build 3D models and design drill programs, including RC and core logging, while maintaining QA/QC standards. This position requires a Bachelor of Science in Geology or related field and a minimum of 3 years experience in mining or mineral exploration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Geology or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mining or mineral exploration.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience logging diamond core and RC chips.
• Familiarity with Leapfrog and Acquire software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and supervise geological research, data compilation, mapping, sampling, and interpretation.
• Build and maintain 3D geological models to support mining operations.
• Design and execute drill programs, including RC and core logging.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures are implemented and followed.
• Prepare follow-up work plans, annual budgets, and monthly progress reports.
• Communicate significant events and findings to senior management in a timely manner.
• Deliver projects on time, on budget, and with minimal supervision.
