Job summary

Barrick is seeking an Exploration Geologist to join its growing Exploration division in Nevada. You will conduct geological research, build 3D models, design drill programs, and support mining operations while adhering to QA/QC standards.

You should have a BS in Geology and at least 3 years in mining or mineral exploration, with experience logging core and RC chips and familiarity with Leapfrog and Acquire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Geology or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mining or mineral exploration.
• Experience logging diamond core and RC chips.
• Familiarity with Leapfrog and Acquire software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and supervise geological research, data compilation, mapping, sampling, and interpretation.
• Build and maintain 3D geological models to support mining operations.
• Design and execute drill programs, including RC and core logging.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures are implemented and followed.
• Prepare follow-up work plans, annual budgets, and monthly progress reports.
• Communicate significant events and findings to senior management in a timely manner.
• Deliver projects on time, on budget, and with minimal supervision.
