Job summary

Century Arms is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer, Barrel Cell, to take technical ownership of the barrel manufacturing process in Florida or Vermont. This hands-on role covers equipment setup, operation, tooling selection, process development, and continuous improvement from start to finish.

The candidate must have direct experience with rifled firearm barrel blanks, deep-hole drilling, precision reaming, and button rifling.

Qualifications

• Direct hands-on experience manufacturing firearm barrels or rifled barrel blanks.
• Experience with deep-hole gun drilling, precision barrel reaming, and button rifling.
• Understanding of complete barrel manufacturing process, not just one machine.
• Ability to independently setup, operate, troubleshoot, and optimize barrel manufacturing equipment.
• Experience improving manufacturing processes, tooling, and production methods.
• Knowledge of precision tolerances, bore quality, tooling, feeds/speeds, coolant, and chip evacuation.

Responsibilities

• Own the barrel manufacturing cell and the complete process.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot barrel manufacturing equipment.
• Perform deep-hole gun drilling of barrel blanks and prepare for rifling.
• Operate button rifling equipment and ensure rifling specs are met.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes and tooling.
• Lead process improvements to increase quality and throughput.
• Provide training and technical leadership as the cell grows.
