Job summary

Equinox in Washington DC is seeking part-time Barre and Mat Pilates Instructors to deliver the Equinox Experience in each class. Responsibilities include adapting class intensity, monitoring effort, and ensuring timely starts and ends.

Candidates must hold current certifications, CPR/AED, and demonstrate anatomy knowledge, with a friendly, outgoing demeanor. Please note this posting reflects pay transparency with a class rate of $60–$80 per class or $17.95 per hour for non-class work, and is

Qualifications

• Must possess a current certification in their discipline.
• Have experience teaching.
• Must possess and maintain CPR/AED certification.
• Must be well-versed in basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, exercise modifications for all populations.
• Must be eager to learn and continue professional development and education.
• Must be friendly, vibrant, and outgoing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Equinox Experience to our members in each class.
• Adhere to the description of the class and modify the intensity for participants when necessary.
• Continuously monitor the exercise intensity throughout the duration of the class.
• Ensure class begins and ends on time.
• Teach respective classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimum.
• Communicate with Group Fitness Manager on member feedback, equipment and operational status, scheduling, and subbing.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

$60-$80/class; or $17.95/hr (non-class work)
