Job summary

Equinox Tysons Corner is seeking Barre, Yoga, and Mat Pilates instructors to deliver premium class experiences at the Tysons Corner club. The role requires current discipline-specific certification, teaching experience, and CPR/AED certification. Candidates should be friendly, energetic, and eager for ongoing professional development.

The position is part-time and based on-site, with opportunities to engage in various fitness offerings beyond classes.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Barre, Yoga, and/or Mat Pilates in fitness clubs.
• Current CPR/AED certification required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Equinox Experience to members in each class.
• Adhere to class descriptions and modify intensity for participants as needed.
• Monitor exercise intensity throughout each class.
• Ensure classes start and end on time.
• Teach classes regularly and minimize substitutions.
• Communicate with Group Fitness Manager on member feedback, equipment and scheduling.

Equinox's location in Tysons Corner iscurrently seekingBarre, Yoga, and MatPilatesInstructors. The position entails the following responsibilities. This is not a complete description, and certain responsibilities may additionally be presented along the course of employment:

• Deliver the Equinox Experience to our members in each class;
• Adhere to the description of the class and modify the intensity for participants when necessary;
• Continuously monitor the exercise intensity throughout the duration of the class;
• Ensure class begins and ends on time;
• Teach respective classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimum;
• Communicate with Group Fitness Manager on member feedback, equipment and operational status, scheduling, and subbing;

• Barre, Yoga and Mat Pilates Instructorsmust possess a currentcertificationin their discipline;
• Have experienceteaching;
• Must possess and maintain current CPR/AED certification;
• Must be well-versed in basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, exercise modifications for all populations;
• Must be eager to learn and continue professional development and education;
• Must be friendly, vibrant, and outgoing; and
