Barminco is seeking an experienced Underground Shift Supervisor for our USA Operations based in Elko, Nevada. The role rosters 6 weeks on, 3 weeks off and involves leading underground mining teams, ensuring safe operations, and achieving production targets.

You will oversee shift activities, mentor national supervisors, and maintain high safety standards. A current Underground Shift Supervisors Ticket and 5+ years in underground supervision are essential, along with a valid driver's licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Underground Shift Supervisors role.
• Must hold a current Underground Shift Supervisors Ticket.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
• Current Driver's Licence.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day operation of shift workers and equipment at an underground mine site.
• Ensure all workers on shift are trained and competent for safety and productivity.
• Train National Supervisors and workforce to a high standard.
• Ensure mining operations are conducted safely and report safety issues to the Underground Manager.
• Ensure targets are met.
• Manage, control, and supervise working areas per Acts and Regulations.
• Oversee duty of care to employees, sub-contractors, and visitors.
• Organise crews, rosters and site day-to-day running.
• Conduct daily work planning and toolbox meetings.
• Submit incident reports to Site Manager.
• Carry out crew training, assessments, and performance reviews.

Due to being awarded a new project in Elko, Nevada, USA we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Shift Supervisors to join us in our USA Operations on a 6 week on, 3 weeks off roster.

This key position will provide an excellent opportunity to further develop your career and work alongside experienced Underground Mining professionals in a safe, dynamic and outcome focused environment. You will also be capable of leading and training national supervisors to a high level of proficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To oversee the day-to-day operation of shift workers and equipment usage at an underground mine site
• To ensure all workers on shift are trained and competent to perform their duties safely and productively at all times.
• Training of National Supervisors and workforce to a high standard
• Ensure mining operations are conducted in a safe manner and any safety issues are promptly reported to the Underground Manager
• Ensure targets are met.
• Perform the daily management, control, and supervision of the working areas in accordance with all relevant Acts and Regulations
• Oversee the mines interest with regard to duty of care to all employees, sub-contractors, and visitors.
• Organise crews, rosters and day to day running of that particular site.
• Conduct daily work planning meetings / toolbox meetings.
• Submit incident reports in writing to the Site Manager
• Carry out crew training, practical assessments and review each employee's development, mentoring and performance.

Skills, Experience & Attributes:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Underground Shift Supervisors role
• Have a current Underground Shift Supervisors Ticket
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
