Job summary

Barminco is seeking an experienced Underground Mining Project Manager to lead our USA Operations on a residential basis. You will own the operational, financial, safety, and environmental performance of the project while building a high-performing team and strengthening client relationships.

Ideal candidates will have a mining engineering qualification, a track record managing underground contract mining operations, strong leadership, and a solid understanding of contracts and safety culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years underground industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years managing underground mining contracts.
• Clear Federal Police clearance.

As Project Manager, you will play a critical leadership role, taking full accountability for the operational, financial, safety, and environmental performance of the project.

You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, strengthening client relationships, and delivering outstanding project outcomes while maintaining Barminco's unwavering commitment to safety.

What You'll Bring

Ideally qualified in Mining Engineering, you will have a proven track record of successfully managing underground contract mining operations and leading teams in complex, high-performing environments.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

• Extensive knowledge of underground mining methods, equipment, and operational best practices.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a proven ability to inspire, develop, and manage diverse teams.
• Sound commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
• Experience managing underground mining contracts and delivering against key business objectives.

• A solid understanding of contractual obligations and commercial agreements.
