Job summary

Barminco, part of the Perenti Group, is seeking an experienced Underground Mining Project Manager to lead our USA Operations on a residential basis. You will assume full accountability for safety, schedule, cost, and environmental performance of the project, and drive operational excellence through high‑performing teams.

Ideally qualified in Mining Engineering, you bring a proven track record managing underground contract mining operations in complex environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years underground industry experience.
• Minimum of 5 years managing and executing high productivity underground mining contracts.
• Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire and develop diverse teams.
• Sound commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall project performance including safety, schedule, budget and environmental outcomes.
• Develop high-performing teams and strengthen client relationships.
• Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement in underground contract mining operations.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and Barminco standards.

The Opportunity

As Project Manager, you will play a critical leadership role, taking full accountability for the operational, financial, safety, and environmental performance of the project.

You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, strengthening client relationships, and delivering outstanding project outcomes while maintaining Barminco's unwavering commitment to safety.

What You'll Bring

Ideally qualified in Mining Engineering, you will have a proven track record of successfully managing underground contract mining operations and leading teams in complex, high-performing environments.
