Job summary

Malteurop is seeking a Barley Lead Lab Technician to work under the Lab Manager. This role includes training new technicians and testing barley products to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities cover maintaining lab operations, data evaluation, report generation, and providing support during upset conditions, while ensuring barley traceability and equipment reliability. Strong attention to detail and SAP experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science related field.
• 3 or more years of experience in a laboratory/testing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents; English speaking required.
• Ability to perform basic statistical analysis.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• ERP/database experience; SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve laboratory operations under the Lab Manager.
• Gather data, evaluate information, and support improvements or expansion.
• Provide training and improve skills of Laboratory Technicians.
• Assist in development and maintenance of operator aids and procedures.
• Provide support during upset conditions and ensure traceability of barley.
• Oversee barley database and produce reports as needed.
• Fill in for the Lab Manager or Lead Technician as required.
• Identify malfunctions and perform corrective maintenance on equipment.
