Crystal Mountain’s Brew62 is a fast-paced coffee shop serving espresso drinks, pastries, and grab-and-go options for mountain guests. You’ll work in a small, supportive team, handling peak-hour rushes and daily café operations with flexibility and teamwork.

The Barista role requires reliability, customer focus, and a willingness to contribute to daily operations, including cleaning, stocking, and prep tasks, while delivering friendly service.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Strong time management and sound decision making.
  • Proficiency in computer applications including point-of-sale systems.
  • Washington MAST Card and Washington Food Handler Card required.

Responsibilities

  • Handle daily duties for Brew 62 and cafe storage areas.
  • Know all equipment functions pertaining to Brew 62 and operate as needed.
  • Enter data in POS systems and manage inventory.
  • Adhere to health, sanitation, food preparation, and alcohol beverage control policies.
  • Maintain positive environment with staff, customers, and vendors.
  • Represent Crystal Mountain with guests and community members; resolve concerns.

JOB SUMMARY

Brew62 is a fast-paced coffee shop offering coffee, espresso drinks, pastries, and grab-and-go options for mountain guests. Our team works together to create a welcoming, upbeat environment while delivering fast, friendly service, especially during peak hours.

Working at Brew62 means being part of a small, supportive team where flexibility, multitasking, and a positive attitude are key. Shifts can vary based on mountain traffic, with busier days typically falling on weekends, holidays, and during special events. Team members should be prepared to work on their feet, handle high-volume rushes (especially during peak hours), and contribute to daily operations including cleaning, stocking, and prep work. The Barista is responsible for the daily operations of the Café. The barista should feel comfortable working in a team and independently.

We're looking for individuals who are reliable, customer-focused, and excited to be part of the Crystal Mountain experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Responsible for the daily duties pertaining to Brew 62 and all café storage areas.
  • Required knowledge of all equipment functions pertaining to Brew 62. Must be able to perform all functions if needed.
  • Responsible for appropriate entry of data in POS systems and inventory.
  • Adheres to all uniform, safety, sanitation, food preparation, food storage and alcohol beverage control policies; including but not limited to Washington State Health and Liquor Department regulations.
  • Develops and maintains values and reputation with staff, customers, and vendors. Ensures a positive, harmonious, compliant, and cooperative work environment.
  • Acts as a representative of Crystal Mountain with vendors, guests, and community members.
  • Ensures the satisfactory resolution of concerns or issues, intervening in complex and sensitive issues.
  • Abides by all Crystal Mountain employment guidelines.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Must demonstrate exceptional organizational, communication, and customer service skills with a strong, independent work ethic.
  • This position exercises mature judgment, excellent time management, and sound decision making.
  • A strong proficiency in computer applications including point-of-sale systems.
  • Specialized training or certification in food service sanitation and proper service etiquette are strongly recommended.
  • Must have Washington MAST Card
  • Must have Washington Food Handler Card
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
  • This position is required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays while in operation.
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.
  • Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices, and basic office equipment on a constant basis.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting, bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing, and pulling on an occasional basis.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees.
