Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Barista or in food service preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately.
• Prepare and serve coffee and tea beverages, including espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, and cold brews.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area, utensils, and equipment.
• Ensure all drinks and food items meet quality standards and presentation guidelines.
• Handle cash and card transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Manage inventory and restock supplies as needed.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Engage with customers, answer questions about the menu, and offer recommendations.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operation of the café.

Repetitive hand and wrist motions are common, especially when operating espresso machines, tamping coffee, and preparing beverages. Clear verbal communication is necessary for interacting with customers and coworkers, often in a busy and noisy environment.
