Job summary

AdventHealth in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a friendly café/food service associate to prepare beverages and meals, maintain stations, handle cash, and ensure cleanliness. You will deliver patient meals and support kitchen operations, while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced hospital café environment.

• 2+ barista training
• Supervisory experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages and food items according to recipes and quality standards.
• Set up and maintain café stations, keep areas stocked and presentable.
• Operate the cash register, process transactions, and handle payments.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of café areas and equipment per health guidelines.
• Support kitchen operations, assist with food prep and patient meal delivery as needed.

Job Description:

• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages and food items according to standardized recipes and quality standards.
• Set up and maintain café stations throughout the day, ensuring items are attractively displayed, fully stocked, and ready for service.
• Operate the cash register to process transactions accurately, handle payments, and follow proper cash-handling and safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all café areas and equipment, following health and safety guidelines including proper use of wet floor signs and cleaning supplies.
• Support kitchen operations as needed by assisting with food prep, working in the dish room, and helping deliver patient meals to ensure smooth and efficient service across departments.
• Other duties as assigned.
