Location

Come and join our team at this 605-room convention center hotel in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. Our luxury hotel is located next to the Paycom Center (OKC Thunder), the Oklahoma Convention Center, and across the street from the 70-acre Scissortail Park.

The property includes an all-day dining outlet (Seltzer's Modern Diner), an entertainment sports bar (OKC Tap House), a specialty restaurant (Bob's Steak & Chop House), a coffee shop (Park Grounds), and a retail outlet (RareBird Gift Shop). Guests can enjoy Mokara Spa, a fitness center, and a rooftop pool and bar (CatBird Seat) with a fire pit, outdoor lawn, and cabanas. The hotel offers 76,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a 20,000 square foot ballroom, a 10,000 square foot ballroom, and a 4,200 square foot outdoor pre-function space overlooking the park.

Job Description

Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is seeking an energetic Barista to join the team of this brand new upscale hotel. This team member will attend to guests in Park Grounds, making and upselling beverages, pastries, and other selections, accurately processing transactions, and providing excellent service to all guests.

Responsibilities

1. Serving guests in Park Grounds coffee shop.
2. Stocking shelves, counters, tables, and display fixtures with merchandise to maximize visibility and promote sales.
3. Answering guest questions about menu items.
4. Maintaining shop cleanliness, proper displays, and inventory control, including tagging items and restocking merchandise.
5. Brewing gourmet coffee and specialty beverages.
6. Upselling and suggestive selling of items.
7. Cleaning shelves, counters, tables, fixtures, glass, and floors continuously.
8. Processing transactions accurately and maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
9. Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• At least one year of customer service experience.
• Previous Barista experience preferred.
• Cash handling experience required.
• Ability to bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., extend arms, grasp, and turn objects.
• Ability to stand for entire shift.
