Maverick Gaming in West Wendover, NV is hiring a Barista for the Morning After Café. This role focuses on delivering legendary customer service, preparing beverages and food to standard recipes, and maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment.

Pay is $13 per hour with opportunities to grow within the cafe team. You will work with the POS system, handle cash, and follow safety guidelines while creating a friendly atmosphere for guests and teammates.

• Contribute to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in associate morale and performance, and communicate them to the store manager.
• Deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer‑comes‑first attitude and connecting with the customer. Discover and respond to customer needs.
• Follow Wendover Maverick operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and products as needed.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational methods.
• Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients.
• Create a friendly atmosphere for guests and team.

The Barista – Morning After Café is responsible for creating the Starbucks experience for our customers by providing legendary customer service with prompt service, quality beverages and products, while maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment.

Working Conditions

This position typically works shifts, including weekend and holidays. Will work near moving or mechanical parts; May work near toxic/caustic chemicals and with fumes or airborne particles. Constant handling with microwave oven. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours). Ability to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 100 lbs.
