Alfred’s Cafe Matcha on Melrose Place is hiring a full-time Barista to deliver exceptional hospitality while crafting beverages and maintaining a welcoming cafe atmosphere. This role suits someone passionate about matcha and tea culture who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

You will educate guests on the menu, prepare high-quality drinks and food items, and support daily cafe operations with attention to detail and guest connections.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of cafe, matcha, or barista experience.
• Passion for hospitality and creating positive customer experiences in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting while working efficiently under pressure.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn and grow.
• Flexibility to attend quarterly team meetings, trainings, or company events that may occasionally take place outside of regular scheduled shifts.
• Maintain reliable attendance and consistent availability, including a minimum commitment of three shifts per week.

Responsibilities

• Customer Experience: Welcome guests with warmth and hospitality while delivering an elevated customer experience.
• Educate and guide customers on menu offerings, matcha preparation, flavor profiles, and cafe products.
• Process orders accurately and maintain composure during busy service periods.
