Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and connect with every customer every time by being a brand ambassador with positivity and enthusiasm.
- Consistently provide quality beverages and food.
- Have a clear knowledge of all inventory items and accurately communicate product information to customers by responding to questions, orders, and concerns.
- Maintain a clean environment, including cleaning the back of house, bar areas, and patios, to contribute to a healthy environment for customers and employees.
- Contribute to store profitability by following Verve’s cash handling and cash register protocols.
- Participate in the training and development of new employees.
- Work at different stations in the café as needed and assigned.
- Follow all Verve policies, procedures, and processes.
- Have a passion for coffee!
Qualifications and Requirements
- Retail and/or customer service experience is preferred; coffee experience is a plus.
- Must maintain a current state-issued Food Handler Card.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Able to multi-task and deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Inclusive, respectful, and professional, with the ability to work as part of a team.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Availability for part-time/full-time hours, including weekends and holidays; hours may fluctuate based on business needs.
