Job summary

The Knox, Auberge Collection, located on Knox Street in Dallas, seeks a Barista to craft high-quality coffee and beverages and deliver exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate has at least one year of barista or hospitality experience, strong communication skills, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays in a fast-paced hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience as a barista preferred.
• Hospitality or customer service experience preferred.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Strong communication and guest service skills with a professional demeanor.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with attention to detail.
• Able to obtain and maintain required certifications (e.g., food handler’s permit, alcohol service certification).

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and explain menu items in detail.
• Record orders accurately and repeat back to confirm correctness.
• Input orders into POS and communicate with kitchen and bar.
• Prepare beverages according to recipes and standards.
• Serve guests with proper utensils and techniques.
• Assist with delivering food orders when needed.
• Complete daily order forms for next-day service.
• Process cash, credit, and other payments and balance cash at end of shift.
• Run cashier reports and balance the assigned bank.
• Maintain station cleanliness before, during, and after shifts.
• Sanitize surfaces and high-touch areas.
• Restock condiments, utensils, and supplies.
• Know hotel layout and hours of operation to assist guests.
