Job summary

Pret A Manger is seeking a passionate Barista to join our team in Elmont, NY. You will craft consistently excellent drinks, engage guests with warmth, and coach fellow team members on Pret's Barista Prepared Drinks program.

You will be a standard-setter for the team, helping train and develop colleagues while maintaining Pret’s high standards for service, speed, and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Barista: 1 year experience required.
• Proficiency in espresso-based drinks.
• Team-oriented and collaborative mindset.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Reliability and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train Team Members on Barista Prepared Drinks and standards.
• Deliver drinks within the 60-second service standard.
• Liaise with management to plan Barista Training.
• Lead coffee team briefs and relevant training sessions.
• Ensure Barista training materials are current and accessible.
• Maintain Pret dress code and uniform appearance.
• Create positive guest interactions with a smile and eye contact.
• Serve drinks to 60-second standard and manage delays gracefully.
• Demonstrate latte art and Pret coffee knowledge.
• Maintain Barista equipment, counters and cleanliness to Pret standards.
