Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Round Rock, Texas is seeking a Barista for the Java Manjaro Coffee Shop. You will deliver prompt service, craft quality beverages, and maintain a clean, welcoming environment for guests in a fast-paced resort setting.

As part of our team, you’ll greet guests, learn the full menu, and collaborate with cashiers and baristas to ensure accurate orders and smooth service. We value customer care, teamwork, and a friendly, family-oriented culture that Lead with Love.

Qualifications

• Experience in coffee shop, restaurant, fast-food, or hotel environments is helpful.
• May require alcohol awareness/safety certificate and food handling certification where required by state law.
• Experience as a cashier or in a full-service restaurant is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with energy and maintain a welcoming service.
• Know the menu, drinks, bakery items, and prices; assist guests with orders.
• Enter orders accurately into Micros; communicate with team to coordinate orders.
• Perform side work at shift start and end as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and uphold safety standards.

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Barista for our Java Manjaro Coffee Shop. In this role, you will provide beyond expectations customer service to all customers by providing them with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable work environment.

As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll craft quality beverages with care and deliver friendly, personalized service that makes guests feel welcome while working collaboratively with the team to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests with energy, a genuine smile, positive body language, focused eye contact, and in a timely fashion.
• You must have full knowledge of the menu, food items, specials of the day, coffee drinks, bakery case items, appropriate prices, layout of the Resort and its storage closets.
• Take orders properly as well as enter them into Micros terminal accurately.
• Maintain constant communication between other cashiers and baristas on orders.
• Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.

What We’re Looking For

• Coffee Shop, restaurant, fast-food venue, and/or hotel and resort experience is helpful.
• State or Local Law may require a certificate upon completion of an alcohol awareness/safety class as well as state-certified proper food handling certification may apply.
• Prior restaurant experience in a full-service restaurant or fast-food venue or as a cashier is helpful.
