• Gain and maintain knowledge of department products.

• Prepare beverages to recipes and customer requests; tender transactions.
• Offer product samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials.
• Provide fresh products in correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to customers.
• Use coffee shop equipment and inventory ingredients.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
• Use kitchen equipment safely (espresso machine, blender, scale, steamer).
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Follow safety procedures and comply with food safety regulations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and report repairs.
• Notify management of accidents and safety risks.
• Work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict in a constructive manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
