Job summary

Magnolia Press in Waco, Texas is seeking a Barista who delivers prompt service and quality beverages while maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. You will follow approved recipes, educate guests about the menu, and handle cash wrap and POS duties efficiently.

This role reports to the Store Manager, requires a friendly demeanor during peak periods, and may support other Silos Foods entities as needed. Availability on weekends, evenings, and holidays and a Food Handler's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0-1 years of related work experience preferred.
• Food Handler's license required upon hire.
• Must be available to work weekends, evenings, special events, and holidays as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a calm and friendly demeanor during periods of high volume.
• Provide exceptional guest service and anticipate guest needs.
• Perform cash wrap and POS duties efficiently.
• Educate guests by presenting the menu and answering questions.
• Prepare and sell food and drink products by following approved recipes and safety guidelines.
• Prepare ingredients for each recipe by chopping, dicing, slicing, washing.
• Handle, prepare, and store food to prevent foodborne illnesses and ensure safety standards.
• Finish all products to Magnolia standards.
• Communicate with management about status of products, quality control issues, and equipment problems.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Evaluate and modify processes to improve efficiency and quality of service.
• Contribute to a positive team environment; assist other Silos Foods entities as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Metrics evaluated on Performance Review.
