Come join our team at this amazing property, centrally located in the heart of Vancouver, Washington, with easy access to Portland International Airport. Featuring 226 rooms, the hotel is within walking distance to the gorgeous waterfront and bustling attractions such as the Vancouver Farmers Market (located directly across the street), making us an excellent base for both leisure and business travelers.

What will I be doing?

A Barista is responsible for greeting and taking guests' orders for beverages and/or food in a friendly, courteous, professional, and timely manner to ensure total guest satisfaction. The role includes upselling additional items to enhance profitability, entering orders into a computerized system, and settling checks upon completion. Specific responsibilities include:

• Greeting guests courteously, promoting and documenting orders, and making/presenting drinks using standard recipes and proper portion control.
• Inputting orders into the point-of-sale system, creating checks, and maintaining accountability for all beverages served.
• Handling cash transactions, providing change, verifying charges, recording transactions, and ensuring vouchers are properly executed to balance all transactions.
• Maintaining proper setup of the coffee bar daily, including requisitioning, stocking, and rotating products.
• Responding positively and tactfully to guest complaints, negotiating solutions, and implementing resolutions.
• Securing and storing beverages, food, and equipment, depositing cash drops, and balancing the bank, along with signing keys in and out.
