Barista, Grays Coffee - Hilton Vancouver Washington (Finance)

Come join our team at this amazing property, centrally located in the heart of Vancouver, Washington, with easy access to Portland International Airport. Featuring 226 rooms, the hotel is within walking distance to the gorgeous waterfront and local attractions such as the Vancouver Farmers Market (located directly across the street), making us an excellent base for leisure and business travelers.

What will I be doing?

A Barista is responsible for greeting and taking guests' orders for beverages and/or food in a friendly, courteous, professional, and timely manner to ensure total guest satisfaction. Upselling additional items to enhance profitability. Entering orders into a computerized system and settling checks upon completion. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Greeting guests courteously, promoting and documenting orders, and making/presenting drinks using standard ingredients and recipes, practicing prudent portion control.
• Inputting orders into a POS system, creating checks, and maintaining accountability for all beverages served.
• Receiving cash, providing change, verifying charges, recording transactions, and ensuring vouchers are properly executed to balance all transactions.
• Maintaining proper setup of the coffee bar daily, including requisitioning, stocking, and rotating products.
• Responding to guest complaints positively and tactfully, negotiating solutions, and implementing resolutions.
• Securing beverages, food, and equipment, depositing cash drops, balancing the bank, and managing keys.
