Job Description: Barista at University of Central Oklahoma

We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time Barista positions at the University of Central Oklahoma, located at 50 North University Drive, Edmond, OK 73034. Online applications are accepted only.

Requirements: Prior barista experience is preferred but not mandatory. Training is provided. Pay rate is $15.00 per hour.

Job Summary

The Barista makes and serves coffee/espresso drinks and related food and beverage items, handles food according to HACCP guidelines, and interacts courteously with customers and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepare espresso and other drinks using standard measures and recipes.
2. Input orders accurately into POS; accept payments.
3. Replenish supplies and maintain cleanliness of the service area.
4. Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures following HACCP standards.
5. Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
6. Follow approved recipes and production standards for food preparation.
7. Keep display equipment clean and presentable.
8. Clean equipment and workstation before leaving.
9. Greet customers courteously and address their concerns.
10. Serve customers efficiently, preventing delays.
11. Understand and explain menu items accurately.
12. Assist in selling techniques and customer decision-making.
13. Merchandise display foods attractively and serve food neatly.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
