Job Description

This position involves making and serving coffee/espresso drinks and related food and beverage items. The role requires handling food according to HACCP guidelines and standards for quality food-service operations. Interacting with customers and other employees in a friendly, courteous manner is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
2. Enter orders accurately into POS device; accept cash and charge payments.
3. Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of the service area.
4. Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
5. Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
6. Ensure proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following production standards.
7. Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
8. Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area.
9. Greet customers courteously and interact to ensure customer satisfaction. Relay relevant concerns to supervisors.
10. Serve customers quickly and efficiently, preventing delays.
11. Understand and explain daily menu items accurately to customers.
12. Promote selling techniques and assist in the buying decision-making process.
13. Ensure display foods are attractively merchandised and served neatly.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
