Sodexo at UT Health Tyler is seeking a Barista to deliver exceptional customer service while crafting hand-made beverages for guests and staff. You will maintain a clean coffee bar, assist with stock and setup, and participate in trained safety and sanitation procedures.

The role emphasizes friendly service and accurate cash handling in a fast-paced environment. The position requires ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 35 pounds, and provide reliable availability across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation and inventory control systems.
• Ability to learn menu offerings and suggestive sell to guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with quick, friendly, and personalized service.
• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages (coffee, espresso, tea, smoothies) per guest specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness of coffee bar, machines, and workspace.
• Educate guests about menu items and promote offerings.
• Record sales and operate cash register, following cash-handling procedures.
