Responsibilities

• Create an environment where customers feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products and services within the department and store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and respond to questions with informed recommendations.
• Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve company/store goals.
• Prepare beverages to recipe and standards and handle transactions using company best practices.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products and inform customers of coffee shop specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products ordered and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to ensure customers get what they want and need.
• Use equipment in coffee shop (refrigerators, ovens, espresso machine, blender) following guidelines; label and inventory ingredients.
• Check product quality for freshness; review sell-by dates and take appropriate action.
• Report safety risks and incidents to store management; adhere to food safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper operation of kitchen equipment and department fixtures.
• Stay current with ads and promotions to assist customers.
