Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Barista for a full-time position in the Phoenix area. You will deliver exceptional customer service while crafting hand-made beverages and maintaining a clean, welcoming coffee bar.

Responsibilities include taking orders, preparing drinks to spec, handling sales, and ensuring fast, friendly service to guests and colleagues. The successful candidate will have prior customer service experience, food safety awareness, and the ability to stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Customer Service related work experience.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, standards, and inventory control systems.
• Starbucks Baristas may be required to be certified.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests with quick, friendly, and personalized service.
• Mixes and serves hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, fruit drinks, etc., per customer specifications.
• Maintains clean coffee bar, prep areas, and dining spaces.
• Educates guests on menu offerings and suggests add-ons to increase sales.
• Records sales, handles cash, and operates the cash register following cash-handling procedures.
• May require significant walking or mobility and ability to stand for long shifts.
• Other duties as assigned depending on client requirements.
