Job summary

Sodexo at UTMB Health in Galveston, TX is seeking a Barista to provide exceptional customer service and craft hand-made beverages. The role requires standing for long periods, occasional heavy lifting, and a full-time schedule.

You will greet guests, prepare a variety of beverages, educate customers on offerings, and help maintain a clean, organized coffee bar with efficient service. Benefits and supportive work environment offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• Customer Service related work experience.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, standards, and inventory control systems.
• Starbucks Baristas may be required to be certified.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide quick, friendly, and personalized service.
• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages (coffee, espresso, cappuccino, cafe latte, tea, etc.).
• Maintain good customer relations and speedy delivery of beverages and food items.
• Educate guests about menu offerings and suggest items.
• Manage coffee bar supplies and displays.
• Clean coffee machines and work areas regularly.
• Record sales, handle cash, and follow cash-handling procedures.
