Job summary

Aramark at Duke University - Starbucks is hiring full-time Baristas to craft specialty drinks, assist with food prep, and manage orders and payments in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Shifts run 5:30am-1:30pm or 6am-2pm PT, with cash handling and POS responsibilities. Candidates should have customer service experience and the ability to work independently, following safety and recipe guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Barista experience preferred.
• Basic math and counting skills required.
• Ability to read and communicate in English and follow recipes.
• Completion of Food Handling Certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a register/POS and handle cash/credit transactions accurately.
• Greet customers and assist with their needs.
• Prepare and serve coffees, teas, and specialty beverages per brand standards.
• Prepare and serve food items per location standards.
• Balance cash drawer and complete deposits.
• Follow cash handling policies and procedures.
