Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a Barista to greet guests, prepare drinks and food, and maintain a welcoming, fast-paced service area. You’ll engage customers, explain ingredients, and use suggestive selling while handling cash and keeping the station tidy.

Must be at least 18, have or obtain alcohol serving permits, and be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Strong English communication and professional appearance are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Obtain and maintain valid alcohol serving permits.
• Previous cash handling experience is an asset.
• Previous Food & Beverage experience helpful.
• Read, write, legibly understand and speak English.
• Excellent customer service/communication skills.
• Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
• Professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
• Able to respond to visual and oral cues.
• Able to work in constricting areas and tolerate smoke/noise.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a timely manner with a smile and a pleasant disposition.
• Must be familiar with menu, preparation of drinks and food and prices.
• Use suggestive selling techniques.
• Explain the ingredients to the coffee.
• Carry on a friendly conversation with the guests as coffee is prepared.
• Prepare for the next shift by filling supplies, cleaning and sanitizing the workstation and equipment.
• Work as a Barista making coffee, blended beverages, etc.
• Work the cash register and maintain an accurate bank, maintain cleanliness.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
