Job summary

Coury Hospitality’s TETRA Hotel, Autograph Collection in Sunnyvale, CA, is seeking a guest-focused Barista to deliver exceptional coffee experiences and warm hospitality.

As part of the Experience Curators team, you will prepare beverages to brand standards, engage with guests, manage POS, and uphold cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced café.

This role emphasizes flexibility, weekend shifts, and opportunities for growth within Coury Hospitality's design-led hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Passion for hospitality and guest experiences.
• Experience in barista, coffee shop, F&B, or hospitality preferred.
• Knowledge of espresso and specialty coffee beverages preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve specialty coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and café offerings to brand standards.
• Deliver exceptional guest service with a warm, welcoming, and professional demeanor.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and make recommendations to guests.
• Operate point-of-sale systems and process transactions.
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards in the café.
• Restock products, supplies, and ingredients as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, inventory counts, and daily operations.
• Collaborate with Experience Curators to deliver a seamless guest experience.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, guest-focused Barista who is passionate about coffee, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences.

As a Barista, You'll:

• Prepare and serve specialty coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and other café offerings to brand standards
• Deliver exceptional guest service with a warm, welcoming, and professional demeanor
• Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items and make recommendations to guests
• Operate point-of-sale systems and accurately process transactions
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards are maintained throughout the café area
• Restock products, supplies, and ingredients as needed
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines
• Assist with opening and closing duties, inventory counts, and daily operational procedures
• Collaborate with fellow Experience Curators to deliver a seamless guest experience

What We're Looking For

• Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences
• Previous barista, coffee shop, food & beverage, or hospitality experience preferred
• Knowledge of espresso preparation and specialty coffee beverages preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
