Job summary

Luke's Local is looking for a Deli/Barista Clerk in San Francisco to deliver excellent customer service, prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, breakfast items, and deli sandwiches. Team mentality and eagerness to learn are essential; barista experience is highly preferred and Sightglass training is provided.

Responsibilities include welcoming customers, maintaining the coffee and deli area, FIFO practices, and accurate waste tracking.

Qualifications

• Experience with retail, preferably grocery.
• Experience with food preparation, service, and safety.
• Experience with customer service.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and closing down the coffee kiosk window for the day's service
• Ensure the customer’s checkout experience is friendly and efficient
• Setting and maintaining the coffee & deli area
• Serving coffee and espresso drinks
• Preparing and serving breakfast items and deli sandwiches
• Monitor product and check for expiration; FIFO and waste tracking
• Provide an excellent and knowledgeable customer experience
• Demonstrate consistent work attendance
• Safe food handling procedures
• Assist in unloading and stocking merchandise for the Deli/Butcher team
• Maintain a positive, equitable work environment for all staff
• Communicate with co-workers and supervisors per Conduct policy
