Mothership Coffee is seeking a part-time Barista to join our growing team. You will take orders, prepare and serve hot and cold beverages with trained skill, assist with light food items, and educate guests on the drink menu. Previous experience in food service is a plus.

The ideal candidate enjoys engaging with customers and coworkers and delivers friendly, efficient service during mornings, mid shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages and customizes orders.
• Describes product details to guests when requested.
• Receives and processes guest payments.
• Serves prepared foods and baked goods.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, dishes, and work areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas.
• Ensures proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating components by routinely checking temperatures.
• Stocks supplies or may manage inventory orders.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

We are looking for part-time Baristas to join our growing team at Mothership Coffee! As a Barista you will be taking orders, preparing and serving hot and cold beverages with exceptionally trained skill, and serving select food items to our guests. In this role you will educate guests on the drink menu, make recommendations based on the customer’s preferences, and up-sell special menu items. The ideal barista loves to engage with their coworkers and customers.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages to guests, such as: coffee, and tea; correctly customizes orders as requested.
• Describes product details to guests when requested.
• Receives and processes guest payments.
• Serves prepared foods and baked goods including sandwiches, muffins, or bagels.
• Ensures customer service stations are properly stocked with paper products or beverage preparation items.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas.
• Ensures proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating components by routinely checking temperatures in that equipment.
• Stocks supplies or retail products; may be required to manage inventory orders, or receive products as directed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Worked as a Barista or in food service is a plus.
• High School students welcome
• Training in food preparation, food service skills, and customer service procedures is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must be available to work either early mornings or mid shifts to evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Hourly Rate & Benefits

• $12.00 Hourly + Tips ($7-$12 in addition hourly)
