Job summary

Blank Street, Inc. in Boston is seeking friendly baristas who deliver exceptional customer service and craft high-quality coffee and other beverages. You’ll work in a fast-paced cafe, collaborate with teammates, and help create a welcoming, community-driven experience for customers.

Roles can be part-time (15-25 hours) or full-time (30-40 hours); both require weekend/holiday availability. Perks include paid time off, sick time, holiday pay, free coffee on shift, and Blank Street swag.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in a customer service position, preferably in hospitality or coffee.
• 18+ years of age
• Able to lift 25+ lbs, and to stand for long periods of time
• Availability that meets the needs of our cafes
• Part Time: 15-25 hours per week, 3 days per week and must be able to work 2 peak days (peak days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Full Time: 30-40 hours per week, 4-5 days per week and must be able to work 2 peak days (peak days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Weekend and holiday availability preferred
• You must be authorized to work in the U.S. and will complete Form I-9 via E-Verify

Responsibilities

• Delight our customers with consistent, welcoming and engaging customer service, turning every customer into a regular.
• Work within a world-class coffee program using top equipment and products to craft tasty drinks.
• Complete all training to ensure proper food and beverage handling to retain freshness and quality.
• Help manage waste and par levels during peaks and lulls to optimize operations.
• Maintain health standards and adhere to product training playbooks.
• Support initiatives with Operations and Marketing to boost foot traffic and sales.
• Contribute to building a loyal neighborhood customer base.
