Responsibilities

• Create an environment where customers feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions about products in the department and store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products and respond to questions with recommendations.
• Collaborate with associates to promote teamwork and help achieve store goals.
• Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards and process transactions using company practices.
• Offer product samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to ensure customers get desired products.
• Utilize coffee shop equipment and inventory ingredients.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates; take appropriate action.
• Operate espresso machines, blenders, scales and steamers according to guidelines.
• Label, stock and inventory merchandise; report discrepancies to management.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; follow safety guidelines and report hazards.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs; ensure safe operations.
• Report accidents and safety risks to management.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to manage conflict professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
