Job summary

Zingerman's Coffee Company is seeking a Barista for our Coffee Bar in Ann Arbor. This full-time role involves greeting guests, preparing espresso-based drinks, and engaging with customers across shop and phone channels.

Shifts run 6:30am to 4:30pm, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Starting base wage is $15.50 per hour, with an additional $5–$6 per hour in tips, bringing total starting compensation to $20.50–$21.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or retail preferred.
• Experience in a food service environment preferred.
• Experience using a Point of Sale system.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and assists with enthusiasm and energy (in shop and over the phone).
• Brews and discusses brewing methods for tea and coffee.
• Prepares espresso-based drinks (milk steaming, drink construction).
• Tastes and scores coffee at each shift and logs results.
