Responsibilities

• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions about products within the department and store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of department products and respond to questions, making product suggestions.
• Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve store goals.
• Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards and process transactions per company practices.
• Offer product samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to meet customer needs.
• Operate coffee shop equipment as trained; label and inventory ingredients.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates; take appropriate action.
• Use kitchen and coffee shop equipment (espresso machine, blender, scale, steamer) following guidelines.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; reinforce safety programs and food safety guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and report any repairs needed to management.
• Report accidents and safety risks to management; follow up on issues.
• Ability to work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environments.
• Ability to manage conflict professionally.
• Maintain honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
