Job summary

Family Fare, a SpartanNash company located in Boyne City, MI, is hiring a part-time Retail Associate. You will prepare coffee and food items, operate the cash register, and assist customers with a friendly, efficient service approach.

You’ll stock displays, maintain cleanliness, and follow all safety guidelines while engaging customers with store promotions and loyalty programs. Prior retail experience and good communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Good customer service and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare coffee shop beverages and food items per standards.
• Operate cash register and process payments (cash, card, checks, etc.).
• Stock items and rotate Coffee items and displays.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace; follow safety guidelines.
• Notify lead/manager when products or supplies need ordering.
• Explain store programs, promotions and coupons to customers.
