Job summary

TOUS les JOURS Grand Rapids is seeking a friendly Barista/Cashier to join our fast-paced cafe. You will brew quality coffee, ring orders on the POS, and deliver warm, welcoming service to every guest.

Candidates should have basic math skills, familiarity with POS, and the stamina to lift up to 20 lbs. This in-person role offers a flexible schedule and the chance to be part of a growing bakery café brand in downtown Grand Rapids.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience or background in the food service or coffee industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems is highly desirable.
• Experience serving customers in a retail or café setting with excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and consistency.
• Operate POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
• Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide excellent customer service.
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation and serving areas.
• Assist with food handling, basic food preparation, and adherence to food safety protocols.
• Manage multiple tasks effectively during busy periods with strong time management.
• Display and restock bread and keep the café organized and inviting.
