Job summary

85°C Bakery Cafe is hiring for an entry-level storefront associate (barista/cashier) in Irvine. The role emphasizes friendly service, cash handling, beverage preparation, and product presentation in a fast-paced retail setting.

Weekend availability is preferred. The team prides itself on quality, teamwork, and customer care as the company grows across the United States and around the world.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Past retail, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work at least 20 hours per week.
• Weekend and holiday availability preferred.
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification where required.

Responsibilities

• Delivering friendly, fast, and memorable customer service.
• Greeting guests and assisting with product selection.
• Operating the POS system accurately.
• Preparing coffee, tea, and specialty beverages.
• Assisting with bread merchandising and product presentation.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment.
• Working collaboratively with teammates and store leadership.
• Following all company policies and Health Department regulations.
• Cross-training in multiple areas including Cashier, Bar, Bread, Cake.
• Arriving on time and ready to work each scheduled shift.
• Having fun while delivering an exceptional guest experience!
