Bella Bean Coffee Shop is urgently seeking a Barista/Cashier to join our team. This role is full-time and/or part-time, with hours 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily.

You will greet customers, prepare and serve coffee beverages, food items, and pastries, and handle payments with accuracy while delivering friendly service. Ideal candidates have at least 18, a High School diploma or GED, reliable transportation, and prior barista experience.

Job Title: Barista

Bella Bean Coffee Shop is urgently seeking a Full-Time and or Part-time skilled and customer-oriented professional Barista/Cashier to join our team. We operate 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM all week. As a Barista/Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers by preparing and serving a variety of coffee-based beverages, food and pastry items. Your passion for coffee and dedication to delivering exceptional customer experiences will contribute to the success of our coffee shop.

Responsibilities:

• Opening and Closing the Store: Prepare the shop for the day’s trading (e.g., stock up the counter, arrange tables, check food expiration dates). At closing, handle cleaning responsibilities and ensure proper storage of food and drinks.
• Greeting Customers: Baristas warmly welcome customers as they enter the coffee shop. A friendly demeanor sets the tone for a positive experience.
• Providing Menus and Information: They offer drink menus to customers and patiently answer any questions related to ingredients, flavors, or brewing methods.
• Taking Orders with Precision: Baristas pay close attention to details when taking orders. They note preferences, such as coffee blends, dairy choices, and sugar ratios.
• Beverage Preparation: Following specific recipes, Baristas prepare a variety of beverages. Whether it’s a classic latte or an exotic Matcha & Taro tea, they ensure consistency and quality.
• Preparing Ingredients: Wash, cut, slice, chop, and grate ingredients according to established guidelines. Ensure all components are ready for sandwich assembly.
• Neatly Assembling Sandwiches: Follow customer orders precisely to create well-presented sandwiches. Pay attention to details like portion sizes and presentation.
• Serving Beverages and Food: Baristas serve the prepared drinks and may also handle pastries, cookies, and muffins. Their goal is to provide a delightful experience.
• Handling Payments: They process payments, whether in cash or via credit cards, maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Baristas keep their work area tidy, sanitize equipment, and ensure clean mugs and plates are readily available.
• Equipment Check: Regularly inspecting brewing equipment, they report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Adhering to Safety Regulations: Baristas comply with health and safety guidelines to create a safe environment for both customers and colleagues.
• Customer Feedback: They communicate customer feedback to managers and may suggest new menu items.

Requirements and Skills:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED (relevant training is a plus).
• Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., phone).
• Must have a reliable means of transportation.
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
• Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Previous work experience as a Barista is Must.
• Hands-on familiarity with brewing equipment.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation regulations.
• Flexibility to work on day shift.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations.
• Ability to gauge customers’ preferences.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Previous experience in food service or a similar role is preferred.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems is a plus.
