Job summary

Valor seeks a personable Barista to blend daytime coffee with evening cocktails in our Birmingham lobby. You will craft espresso beverages, educate guests on seasonal features, and create a welcoming, high-energy service experience.

You will maintain a clean station, support lobby activations, and collaborate with hotel teams to ensure smooth guest flow, delivering gracious service and memorable moments.

Previous experience in F&B preferred; global hospitality environment is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 3–6 months in food and beverage services.
• Hotel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Craft high-quality espresso and coffee beverages with consistency and care.
• Educate guests on coffee offerings, seasonal features, and flavor profiles.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually inviting coffee station.
• Create a warm, conversational guest experience that encourages return visits.
• Prepare and serve beer, wine, and curated cocktails with confidence and flair.
• Act as a host for the lobby in the afternoon and evening—engaging guests, sparking conversation, and building community.
• Guide guests through beverage selections and pairings in a relaxed, elevated way.
• Support evening activations, music, or special lobby moments as needed.
• Deliver intuitive, gracious service that feels natural—never scripted.
• Maintain beverage quality, cleanliness, and presentation standards.
• Handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with hotel and food & beverage teams to ensure seamless guest flow
