Job summary

Le Meridien Downtown St. Louis is seeking a positive, service-oriented Barista to join our Food & Beverage team. You will serve high-quality beverages and foods with a friendly, professional approach, following the hotel's standards.

Responsibilities include learning our coffeehouse offerings, greeting guests, taking and calling back orders, and answering questions about blends and recipes. Flexible hours include mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Flexible availability to work mornings, afternoons, weekends and holidays.

Compensation: $15.50 to $16.00 per hour plus tips

Position Summary:

We are seeking a positive, service-oriented, energetic and self-motivated Barista to join our team. The Barista will work closely with the hotel’s Food & Beverage team. This position’s primary function is to serve quality products to customers in a friendly and professional manner while adhering to the standards set by First Hospitality.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

• Expected to regularly handle various food and beverage products.
• Knowledge of applicable computer programs for ringing up customer orders.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to stand for hours at a time.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
