Job summary

ISS Guckenheimer is hiring a Barista in Oakland to welcome guests and craft hot and cold beverages, plus serve bakery items and light meals. You will operate the register or kiosks, maintain clean workstations, and ensure food safety and guest satisfaction during roughly 7:00 am–3:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Candidates should have a passion for customer service, strong communication, and the ability to stay calm during busy periods. Training on HACCP and safety procedures will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a passion for customer service.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and teammates.
• Knowledge of HACCP or food safety principles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and maintain clean, sanitized work and service areas.
• Prepare and serve hot or cold beverages and ready-to-eat foods.
• Operate the cash register and become familiar with self-service kiosks.
• Maintain inventory levels and restock products as needed.
• Display items attractively and label signage clearly.

Key PurposeThe Barista will welcome all guests and make them feel happy they came. Let them know you are here to make that perfect beverage for them. Prepare and serve hot or cold beverages such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, and teas. Serve ready to eat foods such as pasties, muffins, biscotti, and bagels at breakfast and sandwiches and salads at lunch.
