Happier Grocery in New York, NY is hiring a Beverage Bar Barista to deliver an exceptional hospitality experience and bring our beverage program to life. You will prepare and serve coffee, smoothies, and wellness beverages while guiding customers through the menu.

You will learn about coffee, functional ingredients, and wellness beverages through hands-on training and ongoing education, building genuine connections with every interaction.

Qualifications

• 1+ year barista experience on an espresso machine preferred.
• Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea, and drink preparation.
• Outstanding communication and guest service skills.
• Good problem-solving techniques and ability to do so with pace, empathy, and sometimes under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare coffee, tea and espresso-based drinks.
• Talk guests through add-ons.
• Work quickly and efficiently to take orders and payments on the POS.
• Engage with and talk to guests in a friendly manner.
• Prepare tonics from recipes and properly present them to customers.
• Keep a completely clean back bar and work area.
• Take daily inventory and stock the bar with beverage and operational supplies.
• Comply with health and safety regulations.
• Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items.
