What to expect while working at Brocato’s…
Our business entity includes a retail store, wholesale goods, and mail orders. We like to share and make sure everyone gets a chance to enjoy our special desserts! You will be a fundamental part of the team that promotes and sells our delicious product! We will expect you to perform basic retail tasks such as: communicating with our guests in a friendly and hospitable manner, be able to describe and be knowledgeable about our product, daily cleaning tasks, maintaining the par levels of product and disposables, as well as maintaining a clean and sanitary working environment, and completing other duties assigned. The other duties may include moving product, moving equipment, packaging product, or detailed cleaning.
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a good work record to join our work family. The Retail Member position is, preferably, a full‑time position with the ability to work weekends and some holidays. A part‑time position is also available with the availability to work weekends and some holidays as well. The candidate must be able to perform repetitious, physical tasks that require the strength to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 50 pounds. Candidate must also be able to kneel, crouch, lean over, reach or climb. You will be using your hands very frequently to grab, hold, handle product. Basic math skills and literacy skills are required to be able to understand written and oral directions and follow our very detailed recipes that have been handed down for generations. Serving experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person who has some food service exposure.

The retail hours are:
Tuesday to Sunday from 10 AM – 10 PM
Mondays we are closed.
We are looking for open availability! We have three shifts: open, volume, and closers. We typically schedule our retail staff 8‑hour shifts – even our volume shifts! – to make sure that our employees get ample opportunity to make their base salary. Every shift is a lucrative opportunity!
We offer benefits for our FULL‑TIME employees. Included benefits are: paid vacation, health insurance (60 day waiting period) and retirement plan (after 2 years of full‑time employment). We will discuss more during the formal interview.
We normally observe most National and Local Holidays: New Year’s Day, Mardi Gras, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Christmas Day.
Pay is an hourly rate based on experience and we pay our employees on a WEEKLY basis! Starting pay, on average is between minimum wage ($7.25/hour) and $10 an hour. But, with the tips included, our retail staff is averaging nearly $20 an hour!
There may be times when you will need to work overtime so that we may successfully meet our customers’ needs. We do offer a 30‑minute un-paid lunch break during the production hours; however, we do not provide any meals so be prepared to bring a lunch.
