Job summary

Hotel Saint Vincent in New Orleans is seeking an Elizabeth Street Cafe Barista to craft beverages with consistency and hospitality.

You will serve customers with kindness, explain the menu as needed, and maintain a clean, organized workspace while working quickly under pressure.

The pay rate for this position is based on a projected range of $10 hourly rate plus tips.

Located in a landmark 1861 building in the Lower Garden District of New Orleans, Hotel Saint Vincent is a 75-room hotel from Austin-based hospitality group McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality, a hotel started in 2021 by industry veterans Larry McGuire, Tom Moorman, and Liz Lambert. An architectural icon in the Lower Garden District since its conception in the 1860s, the red brick Beaux Arts-era style building was originally founded as The Saint Vincent’s Infant Asylum by Irish immigrant Margaret Haughery, a bakery owner and philanthropist celebrated for her humanitarian services in New Orleans. JOB SUMMARY

As the Elizabeth Street Cafe Barista, you will skillfully craft the perfect beverage with consistency. A wide range of beverage offerings, attention to detail, and working quickly & accurately will help ensure your success. Serve customers with hospitality, kindness, and approachability, always explaining the menu as much or as little as the customer needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Prepare all menu items to the best of the employee’s ability, always striving to improve and serve an incredible product
• Keep a clean and tidy workspace, always cleaning in free time, even inside and behind items, following the cleaning checklists closely
• Be a team player and strive to work well with other employees
• Be organized and able to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure.
• Work as a team with all personnel to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service
• Enthusiastically welcomes each guest and is aware of tone and body language at all times
• Can handle working under pressure and multitasking, Self-motivated, and able to identify needs without direction.

SUPPORTIVE JOB FUNCTIONS

• Makes guests feel appreciated, seen, and taken care of through your actions
• Works with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked to the Company’s standards at all times
