Job summary

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln is seeking a Barista to support the Tazza coffee shop in the Westbrook Music building. You will provide friendly service, craft beverages, and help manage inventory while collaborating with dining leadership on pricing and menus.

As a full-time, regular staff member, you’ll train student staff, contribute to a positive workplace culture, and benefit from generous time off and comprehensive insurance options offered by UNL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year retail food service experience.
• Ability to read, write, weigh and measure.
• Ability to communicate essential.
• Must have the ability to train and lead others.
• Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain by passing the Safety and Sanitation test.

Description of Work

The Barista will assist in the management of the Dining Tazza coffee shop within the Westbrook Music building.

In this role you will:

• Provide excellent customer service to all patrons of the Tazza coffee shop
• Accurately create quality beverages and products
• Order products and supplies while maintaining appropriate levels of inventory
• Greet and provide a friendly atmosphere to guests, students, faculty, and staff
