Job summary

Whitetail Club – Shore Lodge is seeking a friendly Barista to craft hot and cold beverages, assist guests, and uphold high service standards. You will manage orders, handle transactions, and help with light food service in a fast-paced resort setting.

Responsibilities include beverage preparation, product knowledge, cleaning, stock replenishment, and POS operation. Evening and weekend availability is preferred, with opportunities to contribute to seasonal promotions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, teas and specialty drinks, and menu items.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils and equipment, and service areas.
• Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators and heating equipment.
• Describe menu items and suggest products to guests.
• Order, receive and stock supplies and retail products.
• Provide product details to customers (coffee blends or preparation descriptions).
• Serve prepared foods (muffins, biscotti, bagels).
• Take customer orders and convey to kitchen/other staff.
• Process customer payments using a POS system.
• Weigh, grind and package coffee beans for customers.
• Wrap, label and date food items for sale.
• Create signage for store products or events.
• Demonstrate use of retail equipment (espresso machines).
• Set up and restock product displays.
• Slice fruits, vegetables, desserts, or meats for food service.

Our successful Shore Lodge, Whitetail Baristas exceed our customer’s expectations by seeking to provide memorable drink experiences for our guests. As a member of the Food and Beverage team, this position is responsible for creating an atmosphere that will inspire guests and associates to return. Proper implementation, promotion and success of our operations and continual evaluation of the products, services and training provided are paramount.
